About Me

I grew up in a small midwestern town and come from a family of writers. My grandmother's articles about growing up in the Dakotas in the early 1900's were featured in the newspaper. My mother had a weekly column for the local paper and later wrote about her life raising seven children. I had always dreamed about writing a novel, so when I retired, I decided it was the right time to pursue my goal.

My style is what writers describe as the "seat of your pants" approach.  I love writing stories that are character driven. My first novel, "Move A Pawn", took me almost a year to complete. When I could not connect with a publisher, I self-published at the age of 65. Earlier this year my sister encouraged me to write a murder mystery book. This is a new genre for me. I started stringing thoughts and words together, plotted motives and suspects until they formed this novel of intrigue and plot twists that you will never see coming. I channeled my inner dark side and believed that "Justice for Jade" is definitely my best work yet.
